Knowing The Difference In Moving Trucks Versus Movers

When it comes to moving, you need to be selective of moving services. There are a lot of companies out there who can assist with your moving needs. Two of the most commonly used services are professional movers and moving truck rentals. Using moving trucks versus movers will vary in many different ways, though both services are capable of helping you get your move underway.

One of the biggest differences with truck rentals and professional movers is the price. A professional moving service charge a lot more than renting a truck, but you get so much more. These movers come in and pack all of your things, transport them, and unload them at your new home. This is great if you have the money or do not have the time to donate to your move if you have prior commitments.  If you rent a moving truck, then you have to do all of the heavy lifting and transport yourself. The upside is that since a moving truck is less expensive than a professional moving service, many people can afford to rent a moving truck.

Another major difference is the availability of service. A professional mover will be pretty busy all year and if you wait until the last minute, you may not be able to secure a professional moving service. It is best to decide quickly if you will use a moving service and then call to reserve them for when you are planning to move. Moving Trucks work quite differently. They are much more readily available anytime, even on short notice. If one company does not have the proper sized moving truck, there is bound to be another. While you do not need to reserve a moving truck in general, it is best to reserve one if you know of a company that offers great trucks, low prices, or any other detail that makes that company exceptional.

One final difference in moving truck rentals and pro movers is simply the level of service involved. A professional mover can come in different services, from full service moving to self-service moving. The prices will vary between the service levels, and is worth considering if you are willing to pay a little bit more. A moving truck rental usually has a flat rate for just the truck, but a moving truck can also come with a few tools and accessories that you may find handy, such as a dolly. The prices for these extra things are generally inexpensive as well, and they help out tremendously during a move.
